Michel Wilhelm Nuboer (1916-1980) left Paramaribo in 1941/42 as an Assistant in the engine’s department of a freight ship bound to Curaçao during the Second World War. The ship may have likely been carrying aluminum aggregates for making fighter planes in the U.S. as cargo. Upon arrival, he probably was a gunner first, but then became a Medical Assistant stationed on Bonaire. During the 1960s - 1974+ he was a First Aid Medical Trainer in the Volunteer Corps Curaçao (VKC). On August 21st , 1969, Michel Wilhelm Nuboer received the Order of Orange-Nassau (no. 122) from Her Majesty the Queen.

Zeer verrast om te ontdekken dat mijn vader Pedro Henrietta (stamboeknummer 6268) als schutter tijdens de oorlog meevocht. Graag wil ik weten waar ik inhoudelijk informatie kan vinden. Ik ben dankbaar dat ik dit nog ontdekt heb. Het verklaart zoveel over zijn karakter en de lieve herrineringen dat ik van hem heb. Helaas was hij op 50 jarige leeftijd door een bedrijfsongeval komen te overlijden.

Hallo, Is er iemand die weet waar deze stamboeken zijn? Ik ben specifiek opzoek naar stamboeknummer 3319.
Na lang zoeken in diverse archieven, ben ik gaan navragen bij het archief op Curaçao, Aruba en in Nederland. Hun kunnen mij niet vertellen waar het is. Vandaar dat ik het nu toch maar via deze weg probeer.
Ik hoop dat er hier iemand is die mij op weg wil helpen.

Aruba , 29 juni 2022. Mijn vader Tromp, Nicomedes Antonio , stamboeknummer 6363 is nog in leven, zijn twee broers Tromp, Pedro Benedicto stamboeknummer 3447 en Tromp Euloterio Anselmo stamboeknummer 4535 zijn helaas al overleden.
It was till last year that we find out that a greatuncle ours, Guan Andres Daantje also died in the WW2 in 1942. He was a soldier, born July third 1893 and was my grandmother Bernarda Catharina Koeyers-Daantje brother. They had an other brother Jozef Antonio Daantje born June, 12th 1898 who also served. Josef was a survivor and he died July 1986 in the US. Thanks for keeping them always remembered.
Erg interessante site. Ik ben op zoek naar gegevens over Sgt Elias Frank, geb. 28 okt 1916 in Tilburg. Hij was tijdens de oorlog gestationeerd op Aruba. Hij reisde in 1945 met Sgt Petrus Marinus Verwijmeren naar New York. Deze vind ik terug op de site, maar alle informatie over Elias is welkom.

Survived torpedoed CSM tanker Rosalia, 28-7-43 as 3rd officer.
In 1952 when he was a harbor pilot in Curacao he met the first officer of the U-615 that shot the torpedoes. He was the captain of a German freighter that he piloted into the harbor.

My father was sailing as a merchant seaman for the Curacaosche Scheepvaart Maatschappij / CSM from 1942 to 1947 and now I am looking for information I would like to know in what year they delivered OORLOGSDIENST KOOPVAARDIJ 1940-1945 if there is any documentation available photographs if you can help me
My grandfather was buried in Curacao until transferred in 1947 to the National Cemetery in Puerto Rico. What would have happened to the grave marker after he was transferred? Thank you for your time.
